Computational cell biology is one area of focus within computational biology. The biological focus is cell biology which broadly includes discussion of gene regulation, protein interactions, signaling pathways and networks and the macroscopic cellular behaviors tha arise from these molecular interactions. The computational approaches to modeling these biological topics are many. Highlighted in these pages are numerical models that describe the dynamics of cell systems.
